Is the assessment really free, forever?
Yes. "Free" here means the whole instrument. You get the full assessment (about 54 questions · extra follow-ups if needed, about 15 minutes) plus your core type, wing, tritype, instinct stack, a confidence band, and the long-form written profile. Everyone answers the same core questions, and your answers then decide which follow-ups you get, to settle your wing and your stress and growth lines. Seven more written modules come with it, covering blind spots, stress patterns, communication, and growth. No account is required to start, and saving your result costs nothing beyond an email address. Your first pairing read is free too, so you can see the relational side before you decide whether it's worth paying for. What the paid plans add is volume and shared space: more written insight about two or more people, and workspaces for a group, a team, or a coaching practice.
Is Personal a subscription?
No. Personal is one-time credits, and that shape is deliberate. One credit buys a pairing read that both people keep, a Situation Read, or a Deep Letter. Credits never expire. There's no recurring charge and nothing to cancel. Packs run 1, 3, 6 or 12 credits, from $19 to $99, so the cost per credit falls as the pack gets larger. A pack can be refunded within 30 days of purchase if none of its credits have been used. Gifting has one catch worth knowing before you send: a gifted credit the recipient never claims lapses 90 days later, and it doesn't come back to your balance. The reasoning behind the one-time model is simple. Each read is something you buy once and keep, so charging rent for it would be the wrong shape.
Can teams pay monthly?
Yes. Teams is $7 per seat per month billed monthly, or $5 per seat per month on annual billing (about 29% less, locked for the year). Self-serve checkout covers 5 to 75 seats. The paid tier is what adds the shared workspace: the composition map, manager and report pairing reads, group dynamics, team strengths and meeting guides written for your actual type mix, admin controls and onboarding help. The assessment itself stays free for everyone on the team regardless. Situation Reads and Deep Letters cost 1 credit each on every plan, Teams included. What if my result feels wrong?
Then say so. The product asks you directly. Once you save your result, it asks whether your type feels like you, with "Yes, that's me" and "Not quite right" side by side, and answering that it doesn't fit shows you the types closest to your result so you can pick your best fit. Start with the confidence band, which reads as a plain label and a range, so you can see how firm the result actually is. When the data is genuinely ambiguous between two types, the system says so and names the runner-up. From there, read the closest types and notice which core fear actually lands. Recognition usually comes from the fear before it comes from the described behavior. You can also retake the full assessment. Typing is a process, and the profile is built to help you keep testing it.
Is this a replacement for therapy?
No, and that answer belongs on a pricing page in plain sight. The Enneagram maps motivation: why you do what you do. It doesn't map pathology, diagnosis or treatment, and nothing here is a clinical instrument or a substitute for a professional who can actually assess you. The written modules are held to the same standard, so a shadow side is described as a pattern and a tendency. What this is genuinely useful for is naming something you already half-recognize and giving you and the people close to you a shared vocabulary for it. Your results stay private to you and to whoever you deliberately choose to share them with; nothing is published, and no manager or coach sees your results unless you invite them.
